The Centro Galego de Artes da Imaxe (CGAI) in Galicia, Spain, is profiled. The archive deals with visual images from photography to multimedia and is part of the Galicia region's autonomous government. It promotes Galician audiovisual culture through its 6,000-book library, its collection of film memorabilia such as posters and stills, and its film preservation activities. The CGAI maintains close ties to other International Federation of Film Archives-affiliated Spanish institutions; several joint projects between the CGAI and other Spanish archives are briefly discussed. English and French language abstracts are provided.
